Symptoms of Gastric Torsion

Gastric Torsion is typically caused when dogs exercise for long periods of time right after eating or if they drink large amounts of water too quickly. Most victims are between the ages of four and seven and are male. Some signs of gastric torsion are:

• Frequent and large amounts of saliva and drool
• Constant attempts at vomiting
• Abdominal pain
• Rapid breathing
• Inability to get up, or collapsing
